Parking Fees

The following parking fees are in place beginning October 1 2008. Your best value is for the long-term permits (weekdays only). Permits are required during weekday parking from 7am to 6pm only. Holidays excluded.

  • 12 month – $180
  • 10 month – $150
  • 4 month – $85
  • 1 month – $50
  • Day Permit – $5

Parking Enforcement:
Permits are required without exception. Violators will be towed at the owner’s expense.

  • Vehicles parked over stall lines will receive a one-time only reminder. Thereafter, violators will be towed.
  • Double parked vehicles will be towed.
  • Other parking violations (parking without a current, valid permit; parking on the grass, sidewalks, fire routes; parking in reserved spaces without the appropriate permit, double parking; etc.)
  • Violators are subject to towing at the owners expense under the City of Dryden by-law 3458-2007, Chapter 154 – Parking on Municipal or Private Parking.

Additional penalties may apply in certain circumstances (stolen permits; altering or forging a permit; transferring permits, etc.) Such penalties may only be paid at the Front desk at the facility.

Displaying of Permits:
The appropriate permit must be displayed on the drivers side of the car in the front windshield stuck on window. It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure the permit is visible at all times; if the permit is not visible the vehicle is subject to violation procedures. Darkly shaded area of the windshield is not appropriate for display of permits.

Lost/Stolen Permits:
Of permit is lost or stolen, please contact the facility coordinator immediately. Replacement parking permits must be purchased from the front desk for 50% of the original. No refunds will be given for returned lost/replaced permits.

Procedures:

  1. Definitions:
    1. Parking Permit – permits issued under these regulations
    2. Parking Stall – an area designated for parking one motor vehicle
    3. Parking Lot – an area set aside for parking
    4. Parking Pass – a daily pass purchased from the front desk
    5. Parking Permit – a long-term permit purchased form the front desk
    6. Parking Violations – a penalty imposed on a vehicle failing to comply with the parking regulations
  2. Motorcycles: Owners of motorcycles and motorbikes must purchase permits for designated parking.
  3. Limitation Liability: Any motor vehicles parked, operated or driven on the Dryden Regional Training and Cultural Centre property shall be solely at the risk of the owner and the operator. KPDSB acting as the managing body of the Dryden Regional Training and Cultural Centre shall not be liable for any damage or loss occasioned to any such motor vehicle, vehicle contents including all parking permits, the operator, other occupants or any person. Said risk also applies to the use of or storage of bicycles on the facility property.

    If any damage or inconvenience is occasioned to any motor vehicle being removed or towed away or impounded pursuant to the regulations, neither KPDSB not its servants or employee’s shall be liable or responsible in any way whatsoever for the damage or inconvenience. Nothing in this paragraph shall affect the liability of any independent contractor carrying out the removal, towing away or impoundment of the vehicle.

  4. KPDSB may withdraw areas normally used for parking and cancel any parking permit if the parking area is required for any other purpose. Alternative parking will be provided. Where it is necessary to erect emergency “No Parking” signs and/or barricades in areas allotted for parking under these regulations for such things as maintenance, construction or special events, such emergency “No Parking” and/or barricade signs shall be strictly enforced and have absolute priority over parking privileges granted pursuant of the regulations. If possible persons whose space is displaced by such an emergency will be assigned temporary locations.
  5. Termination of Permit: All permits are issued subject to observance of terms, conditions and regulations applicable. A permit shall be invalid:
    1. On the date of expiration shown on the parking permit.
    2. When it is not completely legible or has been altered in any way.
    3. When it is not affixed to the motor vehicle.
    4. When it has been cancelled or revoked in accordance with these regulations.
    5. When the owner of the motor vehicle sells or otherwise disposes of the said motor vehicle.
    6. For breaches of parking procedures such as fraudulent use of permit or a serious violation of traffic controls.
